So you were NOT ignoring her pleas for you to stop and ask directions?
I prescribed myself some tylenol and heineken. She on the other hand is not adjusting well to tinnitus.
I know we're all kidding and making light of it but I'm sitting here letting this sink in. I can only imagine how you both feel. Tomorrow morning it may feel like a dream, but be thankful for the day! Be safe brother, someone was watching out for you both!

I bought a firearm, my wife carries a firearm - those are our choices. The car beside us minding their own business would have been the real victims. It's not, not, not a joke. Definitely beyond scared stupid.

She just couldn't think of an alibi for multiple negligent discharges from a revolver. Might want to check and see if there have been any recent revisions to your will or life insurance. 
But seriously. Maybe have the pistol checked to see if the sear on it is out of spec. Maybe it got bumped to half or full cock and just her handling it caused the hammer to release. Otherwise, see above.
