A good friend of mine grabbed some cash at an ATM turned and had a handgun in his face. He gave them the money, they asked for his wallet. He reached in grabbed, cocked his NAA .22LR stuck it between the eyes and fired it at point blank range. Bad dude crumpled like a sack of taters. Retrieved his money too.
After 5-7 yards it's an "indirect fire" weapon but every home chicken has a plan until that first bullet zips by their noggin.
Another true story, one of my patients hunts hogs with an NAA .22. He is over 50 and sinewy lean and strong appearing. He low crawls through thickets until he grabs a hog by its legs and pulls the NAA .22 out of his back pocket, sticks it in the hog's ear and game over.
He's my hero. He gave me some awesome hot peppers he grew too.
