Name This Snake!!!

This snake was on the back of our neighbor's pontoon boat. What kind is it? Poisonus or non?

That might be a banded water snake, which is harmless. I can’t see the head very well. Or, it could be a cotton mouth. Cottonmouth’s have a larger, more triangular head.

cant see his face. Chances are it's a harmless water snake but a white mouth inside make him a venomous cotton mouth. Hard to tell the difference from here but either one will give you a heart attack.

Nonvenomous water snake, either midland or common. Markings do not at all resemble cottonmouth. What lake?

That would be me!! Ever since I almost stepped on one as a child I don't like them. But I especially like the advice to get close and see what color the inside of his mouth is or what is the shape of its eyes!!
