My old stomping grounds, spent 5 months training there in 86.

February 26th 1986 C-4-2 Harmony Church. Then Jump School, then RIP.

Easily one of the better military museums in the United States.

I live pretty close to this museum. Always took JROTC trips to it back in high school and it still never gets old!

Great museum. Much better than the old one. The best military museum that I’ve been to was the Patton Museum at Fort Knox Ky back in the late 1960s. Back then you could handle the machine guns, crawl inside the tanks. It was amazing to me as a kid. Later on they placed the weapons behind glass and locked up all the tanks. I think that museum was supposed to be moved down to Fort Benning since they moved the Armor School there. Not sure if they ever did.
