Nazi marked items?

ouch. You hit below the belt on that one!!!

Ahh but you have to remember, I'm not one of the paranoid ones! I enjoy studying WWII.

For those that are paranoid, if you've owned or driven a Ford- Henry Ford donated large amounts of money to Hitler before the US went to war with Germany
Ever driven a Volkswagon?- Ferdinand Porsche designed the car because Hitler told him to "make a car that all Germans could afford"...thus The Volkswagon-The People's Car
Hugo Boss clothing? Yup, he designed and produced those snazzy Black SS uniforms.
Bayer Aspirin? Yup, Fritz ter Meer was the chairman of the board and convicted at Nuremburg for experimenting

There's many more but I'm tired of typing. Whether people like it or not they have used something related to the Nazi regime whether they knew it or not.

Oh wow. did not know that stuff. Well slap me around and call me susan.

Just a question for everyone on here, no right or wrong answer just airing out my opinion sparked by a post I saw today.

Would you own anything that was Nazi related?

I agree there is a place in history for them, I think it is very interesting to see some of the Nazi marked items on these boards, but you couldn't pay me enough to actually own something with those marks on it.

I used to work in an Army Navy store back in Ohio and once or twice a year old women would come in with trunks to sell from their husbands who had passed and we would find Nazi patches, flags etc. They had historical value, and I'm sure some of the larger flags we saw had some good dollar value to them as well but we refused to purchase them.

So again, could you get past the atrocities and appreciate something like this as a part of history.

No for me.

honestly I prefer collecting nazi marked items just german made stuff in general. insane stories to tell about the nazi stuff call me nut but i prefer a nice mauser over a springfield or garand and I love the american weapons. the machining is so detailed hand fitted beautiful curves and the cool markings on the german stuff is great. I by no means love the nazis their acts were horrible nor am I a racist but the germans make nicer stuff. their steel was better blah blah blah that stuff brings top dollar super collectible rare and knowing that it was probably taken off a dead nazi bastard and is now in my hands brings me a great deal of satisfaction
