Need a new gun safe

For $3500 there was a used 5000 lb. TL30-- a big one-- for sale at a Lilburn safe dealer. Yeah, that's out of a lot of people's price range, but for the money, assuming you have a place for it, that's the way to go. It's not going to be stolen, it's not going to be cut open, and it's going to survive a fire. 36x30x72 inside as I recall.

I don't know if they still have it; they had it a month ago.

I have not read up on safes as much as I should have but will any safe built, expensive, heavy and the best there is, survive a Very hot house fire. I mean I know the safe might but the contents?

The saying goes, "You get what you pay for." When you look at safes, you look at the fire ratings. That's one of the "important" information factors that will help you choose a safe. Also the warranties, replacements, and SHIPPING will vary depending not only on certain models but also certain manufacturers. Most trusted brands, Liberty, Champion, etc will shield the valuables inside if the house fire was within the fire ratings of the model safe.

You keep your ammo in a safe? I guess that with current prices that might sort of make sense, but it's not anything I'd have ever thought to put in a safe.
Yes sir, I have quite a small investment in Ammo, maybe larger now. Having 5-10 thousand rounds of your ammo stolen would hurt! Not as much as guns but still hurt. Now I’ve been storing it in a safe way before covid or the panic but it makes more sense now.
