Need help deciding

Need help deciding between a sandman s and K. It would live on a 13.9 556. It’s a general use ar with no magnification.

I have a nomad so it covers the bases otherwise. Just want a dedicated for the 556.

Question is though, is the length and sound reduction still a good balance on the K? Or just go S?

tbh, how much more suppression will you get out of the longer can? if we are talking about 2-3 decibels, I would just go shorter. also keep in mind that you can use that for other small calibers as well so keep that in mind

I would like shorter. This would be used for my run and gun events mostly. I don’t need to be super duper quiet for that as we have to wear ears anyway. I also have some 22’s my kids shoot so it would be great for that.

I have my Nomad 30 on keymo and I love it. Havnt really done much searching outside of what I know. My research on DA is the Sandman is pretty solid just don’t do Sierra5!!!!!

The S is HEAVY, and the K is pretty Loud. I'm guessing you have a pined keymo mount so I would go hub compatible, and get an X or one of the polonium's would be my recommendation with an adapter. I wouldn't be shocked if they discontinue the S and K, they are not backordable right now on SS so that is not usually a good sign. There are plenty of K's and X's instock right now at another distributor.

Also Loud is not always the end of the world, Length, weight and gas are usually the most important features to me on a AR silencer.

Lazarus is also a good option.

X or Lazarus 6. I’ve got the L6 and it’s great on my 12.5” to 16” ARs that I’ve used it on. Might get a second but then they announced the X and I’m torn between the two.

I have a Nomad as well and no issues with Keymo. Not sure but thought KGM wasn’t making the dead air stuff any more?

Don't buy the K, it's a blast can with a tax stamp. The is solid but heavy. I would get something that's about the size of the sandman S but made from titanium. The new sandman x looks good but it's thicker than the S.

I have one the K. I'm convinced every K can is designed for short subsonic platforms, they just don't market them that way.
