Need help with Lee loadmaster

I got a used Lee loadmaster from a friend and put it together watching a few videos on YouTube but can’t for the life of me get the operating rod to advance the shell plate any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

If the "cap" on top of the ram that holds the shell plate is loose or mis-aligned, the press won't cycle. I replaced mine several years ago and the alignment cycle improved to almost 100%.
Also, the "key" will wear out and might be the issue, replacing it will help.
Sadly, since this press has been retired by Lee, and replacement parts seem to be gone forever, I opted to take advantage of their 50% offer, got the Six Pack Pro and have been impressed with the smooth operation. But, the down side is having to replace ALL the shell-plates and opting for the in-line bullet feed.
IF you want to continue using the Load Master, your best bet is to try and find someone with spare parts that's willing to part with them... maybe someone that upgraded to an newer press...
