Know with the brace problem, I was thinking maybe is better a high rise optic?

It's all personal preference. I have a Vortex Strikefire RDS on my AK that's in a mount, up off the pic rail. Traditional thinking was to keep your optic as close to the barrel as possible. I've been seeing with RDS' guys recommending mounting them up off the rail for a more "heads-up" position. Again, it's all personal preference.

I’m sure lots of Sig optics have been used and are fine, but I’m not a fan. Bought one brand new and it didn’t work. Got my money back on that one. Had another and the Sig logo on the front top fell off right after taking it out of the box. I like Vortex for a little more money. Their warranty is great too. Have had several with zero issues.
