The Taurus PT 92 and presumably the PT 99 are built on machinery sold to them by Beretta when they packed up and left Brazil. While the PT is different in some ways to the Berettas (slide safety is probably the biggest difference), the barrels and locking block assembles are meant to be interchangeable.

The exception to this might be competition barrels where they're hand-fitted, and I guess they could have barrel bushings in place, but that would make a barrel problematical for either brand of gun.

Best bet is to try and find a friendly 92 owner and ask if you can try and see if the barrel is a good fit. I don't know of any OTHER models of guns that have that particular setup with a locking block.
