Right-hand and left-hand dueling pistols only markings on them or a 1 and a 4 on the bottom of the barrel also some markings on the side plates any info at all on them would be greatly appreciated

The finish and standard of metal work looks modern to me. I've not seen a left handed pistol as part of a pair before, (I'm not an expert).

Dueling pistols were generally high end, the way the locks fit in the stocks, the way the side nail protrudes on the left handed sideplate, the way the breeches are built, the quality of the engraving, just doesn't ring true.
