I also vote for the Rock Crusher. I had one for many years. Now for many years I am using the simpliest Lee made, and it works great I like it better. single stage. Wallacem in Ga
I have a Dillon 550 with most of the upgrades.... got it about 6 or 7 years ago. I only load 223, 45acp and 9mm on it... have many thousands loaded on stand by, so I have not loaded with it in some time... probably over a year. I load all rifle rounds ( except ar15 rounds ) on a single stage press. I have been using a lee single stage forever ( a bbreach lock model ) and it makes great ammo. I had a rock chucker single stage back in the day and it was great machine.
If you are going to be hi volume reloading you can't beat a Dillon, but for low volume rifle just get a single stage press a good powder measure and a good electronic scale.
The press itself isn't really the big cost in reloading.... more money is spent on components... that was true when primers were 12 bucks a thousand and a pound of powder was similar.
