What are the requirements if you want to shoot on your own property. I'm thinking of purchasing a house this year and looking for a house with couple acres, wanted to know what are the requirements for shooting on your private property without being harassed.

Depends on where you're at, but 50 yards from an occupied dwelling, 50 yards off any road and outside the city limits, covers it in Forsyth County.

(Obviously you have to be shooting in a safe direction. Into a hill you own or a berm is good.)

Over here in Cobb I believe it's:
1. Outside of city limits
2. 150ft from any roadway
3. The rounds you shoot stay on your property.
...but that was a few years back, not sure if it's changed.

I have property down near Thomaston but it's over grown. Easily get a 700 yd shot

I would be very interested in joining an outdoor shoot in the Rockdale, Covington area. I really want to test my XVR 460 longer range.

Some WMA's have a range open to the public. Check in the Georgia hunting regs book for more specifics. Or join a private club.
