I don't leave negs because of the retaliation. I just move on. I have told a few members I wanted something and then something weird happened and I had to back out. It was stupid stuff but it was expensive things that happened. The couple times I had to do that over the 13 years of being a member the sellers were understanding and compassionate.
When I am the seller I don't pay much attention to offers, promises or whatever until the money hits the bank and the item ships. Don't get me wrong I treat everyone as if the deal is on but I just don't count my chickens before they hatch. I guess that's the car salesman in me. I've heard it all. You never know what might come up and sometimes like in my case things happen that we're very expensive and I had to hold off.
We are assuming the role of a salesman for a short time. We have to remember we are dealing with people. Being over the internet it's worse than retail encounters and you get all types of individuals with all types of personalities. That's just dealing with people especially over the internet. It's just going to happen and we just have to deal with it I reckon.
I know this doesn't offer much comfort in your situation but the item will sell if it's a good item and a good price. Just cuss a little and put it out of your mind. You will only drive yourself crazy trying to figure out why people are the way they are. I have had customers in the car business keep me 2 hours past closing time and walk out. Talking about being peeved and you don't have the neg option. Like I said cuss a little and let it go..
