Not saying you did wrong so don't take it that way but, for me personally, as long as they back out before I leave or reschedule something I don't get upset. If someone is trying to make a deal with me and they find the same thing closer or cheaper I go back and make sure I'm not overpriced and as for the closer part I understand. That's just my way of thinking and if my item is a good or decent deal, then it'll still sell..

To each his own I guess. This wasn't the guys first negative. Plus I turned down another offer because this member said he was going to buy it. Yes I did wind up selling it a few days later but in my opinion that's what the feedback system is designed for. I'm a man of my word and think everyone else should to.

I had a member agree (through PMs) on a time, place, and price. He called me as I was sitting in my driveway warming up my car and cancelled the meet. He said he was having car trouble. I didn't give him a negative because I understand things happen that we can't control, but if he had waited until the time of the meet, or not bothered to call at all, I would have.
I've been here a couple of years but haven't done a lot of deals so I was trying to give a new guy the benefit of the doubt.

Have to disagree with u on that. If u say u will take it , then barring an unforeseen event , u need to be a man of your word and go through with the deal. I have said I will take it to a couple of things on here and then got to thinking that I don't really need or want it. Still went through with the deal and then turned around and sold the item.

2 summers ago,
I was headed to a weekend carbine and pistol class in North Ga.

I arranged a deal with another member to sell a Glock I had.

I finalized the deal in a text, and the member never answered after agreeing on the details in subsequent texts.

He text me the next day with some chit about his wife bla, bla, bla.

My Advice is
1. Shore it up in a PM, and
2. Neg, Neg, Neg if they don't hold up their end of the bargain.

I had a member the other day ask me to sell him a gun that wasn't even "four sail" when finally I agreed to sell it, we set a time & place blah, blah, blah...

30 mins later the same guy messaged me asking to borrow $500 for they day so he can buy the same gun from someone else.
