Yes you are out in the middle of no where. I have been to Christmas Valley a few times. Been to the dunes a couple of times had a couple of parties there. I lived in Lakeview Oregon for ten years before I moved to Georgia 20 years ago. Welcome to ODT

We live just about 5 miles from the camping area at the Dunes. We have a back road/trail that goes to the West end of the Dunes. It's pretty nice to pull out of your driveway and be on the dunes is 5 minutes. Lakeview is pretty much out in the middle of no where too! The highest city in Oregon! We go down there every now and then.
Seems like a nice town if you like towns that is.

Lakeview used to be an alright town but they put in the prison and it went down hill from there. I was there in 2012 everything looked run down and not taken care of. My mother inlaw still lives there so we go every couple years to see her.

Nice! You are officially the farthest from the southeast of anyone I've seen on the ODT
