Why not?

But you can still make an AR style 6.5, I thought you were saying you can't at all haha.Cartridge is too long. You have to use a larger framed receiver, like the kind used in an AR10.
.300BLk will work, as will 6.5 Grendel, 6.8SPC, 7.62x39mm, etc.

Probably 200 yards maxOP, what distances are you going to be shooting at? Might make a difference in what people suggest to you. I normally hunt sub 100 (30-50 normally) yards and use a 7.62x39. However, about 175 yards is my max and ammo is not know to be super accurate. Can't speak on 300BO or 6.8 as I don't shoot them. My 6.5G is still being broken in; but have heard great things about it. Lack of open ranges slows things down.
Probably 200 yards max
I love my Grendel. Sweet round and flat. Not far from the Creedmoor so tons of bullets if you handload. So I have my odt stripped lower and I want to build a new hunting rifle. Wanna do something different than the .223/556. With that said I’d use it for deer and maybe predator hunting. What does the ODT mind think
