New Infraction System

So....If I want to break myself of this habit of looking at all the trade offers while I am at work, or during family time, all I have to do is build up 20 points and I can get myself kicked from this ...."as my wife puts it"....... firearmporn ???

I've had to activate the infraction system and wanted to let everyone know how it works. Pretty much it is a point system where when you break a rule, you get an infraction with whatever point value it carries.

So, for example, if you make a negative price comment you receive a warning. If you do it again you receive 1 point, then every time after you will receive a point. Points will expire after some time if you do not commit the same infraction again.

Then, once you reach a certain point total, the system automatically bans for a set period of time. Here is what I have it set to for now:

5 points- 3 day ban

10 points- 7 day ban

20 points- Permanent ban


The current infractions I have set up are as follows:

Early relisting of item- 1 point
Negative Price Comment- 1 point
Name Calling- 1 point
Threat to other member- 3 points
Unfriendly comment to new user- 1 point
Typing around the censor- 1 point

Hmm... I shouldn't think so. But bringing political conversations out of the boiler room is still against existing rules, so you should be fine calling paul pretty much whatever you want in the political section of the boiler room. UNLESS...Ron Paul becomes a user, then it would be calling another user a name.

Well I do bypass the filter...you should make the site 18+ years old plus and forget the filter. That whole "I cruise this site with my kids" thing is BS.
