New Management at American Heritage Gun Range

Hopefully the AR bunker will do better than they did at the range they had in Franklin which the county shut down for a variety of safety reasons . All related to not following the rules agreed upon when the range opened and shooting a nearby house more than once . They violated a temporary injunction against shooting at the range and now it is permanent.

come on man we all know that just came down to politics...

I don't know what percentage AR-Bunker folks have in the store. I do know GM is gone and working for whatever distributor they were using. That's why the shelves are pretty bare as they terminated that agreement and sent all inventory back. Chris Garon is the day to day manager and one other guy from down there is working as of yesterday. Jimmy and one or two of the AHGR employees have been retained also. The range portion is as good as it gets in Atlanta and the store itself rivals any I have visited. I'm pretty sure that when they get the turnover complete and new distributors set up you will not regret giving them another try. Even with GM, they supported several shooting sports on a weekly basis including IDPA, GADPA, and were GSSF. They have Bowling Pin shoots twice a month and now US Action Rifle Match Society is shooting twice a month also. GM did welcome this forum in for a Swap Meet this past year also providing burgers and dogs, and discounted range time. Of course, it you'd rather pay-by-the-hour, feel free. $20 a day ain't bad.

You think it had nothing to do with shooting a house twice . Including while a deputy was on the roof investigating the first event ? The rules the range had to agree to involved having a qualified RSO present any time there was shooting . That was ignored as well . They also violated the temp injunction . Poor decision making and stupid gun tricks are the reasons , not politics . If you shoot the neighbors house and then do it again , you have to expect a reaction. Then shooting after being served a temporarily injunction was just stupid . If you are going to double down on bad decisions you have to expect the government not to love you very much. Not politics no matter how the AR bunker guys want to spin it . They could have done the right thing and still had a range to shoot at .

Bro, ever time someone tells the story it gets a lil more dramatic..... it is what it is, no skin off my back either way.

Is it 20 bucks to use the range, or is there an hourly charge?

I have been there and had no reason to ever go back the way it was.

I heard it from 2 Heard county locals , 1 was a deputy , The other was a Heard county local who was asked to help support opening the range when it was before the county commission. He did . tell me the real version. I am willing to listen . Did they shoot up a neighbors house twice ? Violate a temporary injunction ? Your guys at the AR Bunker got on another board and defended price fixing at Eastman gun shows since it helped their profits . It was a great read . Very customer friendly

Did they shoot up a neighbors house twice ?

you just proved my point of lil more dramatic every time..... yes I heard they shot a whole neighborhood with deadly assault rifles with 75 rd clips, LOL

honestly man, I couldn't careless either way.... my point is that I've heard about 90 different versions of this story.
