New Neighbors

Bobcat is tasty! Bet those are too.

My neighbors HAD an outside cat. I saved it once from my German Shepherd when she ran it up a tree. They gave me attitude when I told them what happened. Said the cat could go wherever it wanted. Found it a week later dead in my back yard.

My advice, let it be. It a harmless animal. If you get caught by the neighbor messing with their animal, it may cost you your life, your dogs lives and death or injury to other family members. Live and let live or suffer the unintended consequences. All it takes is someone having a bad day and you’ve done messed up bad.

Have a heart trap set at night.
Set your alarm for 4am and go check the trap that you set with some really good smelling tuna fish.
Hopefully you got yourself a cat and not a possum or raccoon.

Take said cat for a ride into the country or a nearby grocery store dumpster area.

Forget about it.

If the neighbors come asking if you saw the cat just say no but tell them you did hear coyotes howling and going crazy last night and say you hear them from time to time in which you can confirm this for them by playing a fox pro coyote call the next night.

OR ...plan B which I’ve done and it works.

Set up a fox pro coyote caller in the bushes by your house or a hedge row between your houses or somewhere within earshot of your neighbors house.
Turn the volume up with some fresh batteries and hope your neighbors light flicks on at 2:30 am and they come outside and start calling their stupid cat.

Ive used this to get neighbors to bring their pets in.
Ive used it to quiet down loud partying college kids partying in their back porch to freak them out after sneaking through the woods for a strategic placement in the dark.
Ive used it to scare the pants off of neighbors I didn’t like that let their dog crap in my yard after dark while they were walking them purposely to poop in their favorite spot...my yard.

haha....so many good uses for a fox pro.

I will not tolerate cats coming to my bird feeder and killing birds.
We have a mostly indoor cat that has never bothered the birds.

BTW, my wife was bitten by a kitten that showed up at our back door. I took it to animal control as could not keep it.
Next day they were knocking on our door to inform us the kitten had died and had rabies.
Wait, what? Rabies takes weeks to fester and kill. It won’t go from normal/slightly aggressive to someone it doesn’t know, to dead overnight.

And from the
Catahoula leopard dog
thread

guy asked has anyone ever owned one and you replied....

"Yes, but simply as a pet, never hunted with her. Great dog, killed a bunch of cats."

So who is so scared of a wittle kitty they had to have a big ole mean dawg protect them from wittle kitty cats??? Hmmmmmm, hypocrite much tuff guy??
Good job, you got the hypocrite.

Put mothballs along your property line. I had to use them to keep a oppossum out of my garage but they drove my cats away as well. Had to clean them out and wait a week before my cats would come back around. When it rains my garage still smells like mothballs

Cats are why they invented catapults.
