New Purchases

I bought a new (to me) 1892 Winchester in 32-20 or 32 WCF, but really only because the shop had three boxes of Remington ammunition to go with it. 150 rounds isn't much, but i have dies and molds so I can cast my own and re-roll them.
And u have the primers to make enough for 10 platoons

Sold five guns on here in the last two weeks because I never used them. Bought one Saturday and now trying to decide if I want a Tikka t1x or Begara bxr.
The BXR is very hit or miss. The T1x is phenomenal. That said, the b14r's are shooters. Some hit or miss accuracy with the carbon fiber barrels, but most still shoot. One issue on the B14r is feeding. The mag needs to fit just right.

Been selling off ammo in calibers I no longer have guns for.
Looking at a little .380 (new caliber for me), but yikes!
Training ammo $1.50/rd, SD at $4.00+?

Yes it seems like some people have good ones and some don’t. The tikka over all gets great reviews except for a few that have had extraction problems. I just dont want to build another 10-22 because I always go overboard and put too much money in it. Also looking at the Ruger custom competition model if you can find them. Bergara also announced another 22 coming out called the BMR. It is a bolt action version of the BXR

The BMR is an answer for people wanting to shoot in the production class of nrl22 and prs22. Others will buy it for sure, but ground up, was designed very specifically for Production Class shooting

If going the 10/22 route, get a Kidd Supergrade and be done

Buy once, cry once. I know if I was ever going to shoot in competition I would do that. I am looking for a very decent factory rifle for the backyard range. I have the anniversary 10-22 stainless with the ghost ring sights. I should buy a Savage fvsr and put it in a decent stock. Had one before and it was very accurate but hated the stock and Tye Savage mags bothered me. Christiansen arms is putting out a nice one for about 799 but I haven’t researched that one yet

With ammo issues going on is it affecting your new purchases? Seems like I find myself not buying guns in new calibers. Cost too much getting into a new caliber. With AK(primarily 7.62x39) ammo being almost half the price of AR ammo (primarily 5.56 ammo) are more folks buying AKs?

How about a 7.62 upper for your AR?
