New rifle suggestions

I am currently trying to decide what rifle to purchase. I want a 6.5 PRC in a different configuration than I have. I built a Howa 1500 Barreled action I a Boyd's stock but I ordered the #6 contour barrel in 6.5 PRC but it weighs a freaking ton. It's well over 12 lbs. with optic. I want a lighter rifle for hunting and I want to spend my 1300 dollars on something with substance.

I like the Ruger Hawkeye hunter with the wooden stock for just a nice rifle to own. I know the Bergara is a good option but I hate composite stocks and would need to look at a different stock down the road. I also like the Weatherby Range XP but it only comes in the 6.5 RPM and the ammo is around 100 bucks a box. So there are a few good options to choose from but I just can't decide.

What are some options you guys can recommend that will hold value and be a nice addition to the safe and not just another rifle to take up space. I put a premium on accuracy and eye appeal. What do you guys think? Just seeing if there is something I may have over looked. I also want a gun with some aftermarket support for stocks a what not. Some of the choices are extremely limited on stock replacements.

Any interest in building something on like a Aero Solus action or something similar? They’re 700 footprint so plenty of aftermarket support, or maybe a Zermatt 700 action? It could be done however expensive or inexpensive you would want

R700 footprint is the only thing to build these days. There’s so much aftermarket support. If you build one the action alone is going to be $1000 or more of your budget.

My vote goes to anything bergara. They make awesome rifles and their CS is about as good as rainier arms!

I like Ruger Hawkeyes, but you can't go wrong with a Sako or Tikka either but wood stocks for those are a little harder to find. Also the Winchester 70s in maple stocks but those may be outside the 1300 price range

I love this rifle. I am more into the traditional look. Plus if I wanted to read Barrel it in the future the mouths are action is probably one of the strongest on the market. They are literally bulletproof!
If I go with the Begara I would have to order a custom wooden stock right off the bat. I know composite stocks have their benefits but I'm a traditionalist when it comes to bolt action rifles.

ever put a caplock or flintlock together? I ordered one of those Kiblers woodsrunner and will try my hand at it this Fall.

Dude Sako rifles are 2,500 plus rifles sneaking up to 3,000 bucks.

Any 700 stock works with B14’s. My B14 in 6.5cm is a tack driver.
