Sorry I am new to the site and had a quick question for all of the members. Why are so many people trying to sell their used guns at new gun prices? Do used guns just hold value, is it a tax thing, or are people just high on prices? I have seen a lot of different guns but especially Glocks. I have seen Gen 3 Glocks on here for $500 plus and they are $499 brand new.

This is a great place and very addictive! I have seen sun really great advice in many of the forums. Happy to be on board.

Used guns hold their value fairly well, especially certain older guns that are no longer made. But...I hear where you are coming from, and can't understand some people's pricing as well.

Be prepared...this thread will either A) be largely ignored or B) stir up a firestorm.

Welcome to the ODT! Glad to have you here...

Just back out of those ads and then go to another one, you'll find deals here. Along with the retards. They overpaid and are trying to recoup losses.

Some people think the value of a glock is 25% over retail once its had 100 rds through it. Beats me as to why.

wonder how much my edc is worth LOL.

You know, the OP really has a good question.

Georgia is Glock country, no doubt. About the only thing I can figure is, in addition to being a rock solid product, Glock being in Smyrna with their no questions asked warranty adds to the appeal.

Oh yeah and;

Actually, they often command a premium here. All you have to do is put a silly finish or Punisher logos on it and it becomes "custom" and worth 3x retail.

However, there are a lot of good deals on here - just have to weed through the 4 figure Glocks.

Still wouldn't pay new prices for a used one, being glock country, these things are common as hell. Look how many g19's there are, those are the most sought after. Right now, supply>demand.
