Next gun suggestions?

I have both a S&W Shield 9mm, and the Shield.45. I like both, the .45 is more of a beast with the recoil than the 9mm of course. Neither is what I would choose to run a lot of rounds through, just do enough to be comfortable that I can use them effectively if needed.

Yeah, I have a 9mm Shield that I dig, but I’m thinking more of a .380 semi or .38 revolver for pocket carry. I’m not a big enough human to pocket carry a Shield. People may think I’m too glad to see them.

I like my Performance Center airweight, enhanced trigger version. Check out the 642 model # 170348. Either that or a Glock 42. Whatever you'll shoot the most accurate with and can carry comfortably. The 42 will, of course, afford more shots and quicker reloads. I still want a 42 for front pocket carry.

I also have a NAA .22 Mag for ultra discrete carry. .22 Mag has similar numbers to 9MM, but it is only for very close range, in this configuration. I have taken bobcat and fox with .22 Mag, but from a rifle. 5 rounds of properly placed .22 Mag will ruin anyone's day, even from such a small gun. It has a surprisingly powerful recoil, a real handful even though I have the flip down holster type grip.

they are fun, but like Leggos for adults, at least for me. I like to change things around occasionally, new scope or red dot, or foregrip.

What sort of upgraded optic should I put on this? I think the front sight is fixed. Red dot?

A red dot is a good choice, inexpensive, and if you put on a carry handle, you can co-witness with the right setup.
