Night permitted deer hunt

So me and tbone38 did out first night hunt last evening for deer. Was a success 2 shots and 2 deer on the ground. First deer was a doe at 100 yards with a head shot. Second deer I stalked and got to within 25 yards and she busted me. So head shot was out but a lung and heart shot through the ribs on a quartering shot took her down. We are at a tree farm where last year they had $20,000+ in estimated damage or loss due to deer.

It's in Walton County but not gonna give the name of the farm lol

There is a huge tree farm on damn I can't think of the name of the road. I used to pass it all the time when I worked out that way, if you are going towards Monroe it's I the right side of the road for the most part.

He has people that hunts it during regular season. But they are so skidish not really worth it.

That's good. People with depredation permits that refuse to allow hunting during regular season just really.... ah, nevermind. Good luck with your cull.

It's a good setup. He has people lined up to take any meat we don't want, to include processing. They are not just going to waste

Damn, I didn't know you had to have a permit to hunt them at night. When you see the eye, shoot the eye.
