Look into hydro imaging. It is basically water based paint that goes on in a film instead of through a sprayer from what I understand...and then clearcoated.

I've seen temps quoted anywhere from 300-500 degrees. If he sprays it with clear cerakote it may take more. I want to dip some wooden handguards and a stock.
