Thanks Bert. Your revelation that mayo is just whipped soy bean oil stunned me for awhile. Can mayo be made with butter or bacon grease?
I don't think you could make mayo right without oil but I could be wrong.
But you can make it yourself with olive oil or avocado oil.
Or you can buy ones made with olive or avocado oil only, but they're really expensive.
The name brand ones that say "made with olive oil" are a scam. They use a low quality olive oil mixed with mostly canola oil so they can put "made with olive oil" on the label.
Damn the deceptive bastards.

I like Hellmann's. I'll eat a commercial mayonnaise no problem if that's all my options are. They're all the same to me though, even the store brands our fine. They're specifically designed to be soules and none offensive flavors so even the kids like it.
Dukes is the only one that stands out as being a little different than the rest to me. Not in a good or bad way, just a little different.
With some of the prices I see on ODT I'm certain there are folks on here that lick the inside of the Miracle Whip jar.
