people say it amazes them how many stupid people voted for obama but do none of your realize that had he lost we would all be sitting here saying man i cant believe that many stupid ppl voted for mccain. If you honestly think that your choice of president would have changed ANYTHING and that you would be better off then you are more ignorant than everyone else put together. Never underestimate the power of a sitting president.

In modern times, they become a damn near all-powerful king. There is practically no limit to what they can and will do. Federal power has become too concentrated. Obama sees no limits to his power, no restrictions at all on what he can do. Just look at the way he is using the EPA to kill the coal industry. Look at the way he used the NSa to record every single bit of electronic communication everyone makes-all the time.

Since the end of the civil war, the president has become a king. They have successively gutted any and all powers the states used to have. they have completely ignored and invalidated the war powers act. The US president is a king for either 4 or 8 years. But make no mistake, he is a king.
