Oct 8th Silencers For All Shoot

If Jake says you can bring them, bring them cased or with an open bolt indicator in place until you are on the firing line please.

We are offering a BBQ chicken lunch (1/2 chicken, BBQ beans, potato salad, bread & butter pickle, bread and a soft drink or water) for $9.00. We'll have tables, chairs, overhead cover set up for your convenience. We are planning to prepare 60 meals and when we run out, we'll be out.

There are hundreds of feet of hard cover over the pistol, rifle and general purpose ranges. We have pop-up gazebos (14 ft wide) that will be on site too. The vendors are bringing popups too. There's plenty of cover in case of rain.

Right now we look like we will be well clear of MAtthew. If that changes I will update everyone ASAP. AS mentioned, light rain will nto stop us as there is a LOT of cover.

With the evacuations going on and everyone heading West on I-16, on both sides of the road, how far up is 16 closed for East traffic?

I got the following from the GA DOT website. I think it will be ok, just not sure where at before Macon does the flow switch back to regular??

Process of Contraflow
Barricade is in place on I-16 EB at SR 26 in Laurens to allow evacuation traffic to use all 4 lanes in a WB direction.
A median crossover on I-16 east of I-95 crosses traffic over onto I-16 EB lanes to travel WB. A cross-over on I-16 at SR 26 (MP 38) in Laurens County directs traffic back to regular WB lanes prior to arrival in Macon.
All EB access at interchanges are blocked from Dublin to Savannah
Travelers may exit contraflow lanes (traveling WB on regularly EB lanes) at designated interchanges at:
Exit 143 @ SR 30 / US 280
Exit 116 @ SR 73 / US 301
Exit 104 @SR 23 / SR 121
Exit 90 @ SR 4 / US 1
Exit 71 @SR 15 / SR 78
Exit67 @ SR 29
Exit 51 @ SR 31 / US 319 / US 441
All other exits are closed within the contraflow section.
All WB exits will be open
Please obey law enforcement staged along the evacuation route to assist you.

Way out towards Dublin. You'll be fine. The only slow down around Macon is at the I16 -I75 interchange. That's really not much to keep you away. Traffic heading back in Henry county? That's bad.

The only issue so far is the I-16 contraflow lanes/closures, but those do not start until Dublin. If you were coming from Dublin or beyond, you probably aren't coming anymore I would assume. Other than that, no traffic issues we are aware of. By tomorrow, traffic should have died down.

The latest weather report calls for a very minimal chance of rain tonight but a BEAUTIFUL Saturday. Let's go shoot!
