ODT 1911 Recommendations

I want a 1911 compact, want quality, finish durability and mag capacity. I guess I could say I'm willing to spend between $800-1400. Something good looking and purposeful. Fde or od preferred.

What do you think I should get, I've never owned one.

Sig? Springfield? Wilson?

I suggest you look at a Springfield Lightweight Champion Operator. I have one and it is amazing.

There is no way in hell I would pay $1,600 for a Kimber.

if you go with your top dollar id get a bobtailed commander Dan Wesson.

...if you want function, you can buy 2-3 1911s that work just fine for that amount, just wont make as good of a photoshoot
