I don't want to describe my rifle collection publicly, but good equipment. Bolt guns and semis. I do handload, and have optimized the loads as best I can. My .308 loads beat Fed GMM too in my .308. But nowhere near 1/2 MOA.

se3racer, I'd love for you to shoot them, and give me a second opinion. Looking forward to it.

The same goes for anyone else that can shoot 1/2 MOA groups!

I can shoot OMA groups 1/2 the time , especially those really long 10 yard shots

I've shot plenty of 1/2 moa groups in bench rest matches but no way I could do it on those CMP targets. They are just open circles.
Some have posted impressive groups though. Young eyes I guess. .

That is also a problem! A 36" dot and a 22X scope seems less than ideal. But I'll see what you guys can do with my guns.

Surely it wouldn't kill the CMP to paint the X (6") white/orange/something besides black. Folks with open sights won't be able to see it anyhow.

I cannot wait to do this. I have a 1942 M1 Springfield with a basically new Barrel on it....Oh how I want to see how she shoots at 200...( That's the distance of Garand Matches. )

Using a good optic with mil or moa hash marks makes a big difference over using a duplex reticle. I can always get the hash marks to touch the edges of the circle top, bottom, left and right and I am dead center.
