Off roading from the past..

If I ever won the lottery......

Thats what I am working towards now... not winning the lottery... but getting finances together to purchase a sizeable chunk of land. My own shooting, trail riding, camping, hunting, place to get away from it all.

Lottery would help with the finances though. lol

yeah that's attainable.....I was thinking to have a few hundred acres of some good woods where people could go for free and have a good time ! Lol.... Of course you'd have to get everyone to sign a waiver. Nowadays if someone screws up it's not their own fault, it's whoever got the best insurance or most money that determines who gets sued !

Me and couple buddies went wheeling on the Suwanee Power Lines back then. I had a 72 K5 Blazer. It hit the first mudhole and it stuck like a rock. After trying for a bit to get it to move (it was way undergeared for the 33's- it could sling mud from the tires and was sitting on the frame), a couple guys came by on dirt bikes. They said they saw some big trucks up the hill and that they'd go get them. so 15-20 minutes later up comes a big Dodge Powerwagon on 40+" tires and a CJ7 on 44's or so. The Dodge pulled me out while the Jeep showed off in the same mudhole I was stuck in.

so we headed further south, near Suwanee town area, and found a roadkill deer. We through it on the tire carrier, for who knows what. She was still limber, so a very recent hit. We went around a corner and came up on another mudhole, so not wanting to get stuck again, I went to the right of this one and got burried again. This time I started letting air out of my tires, and combined with some pushing and back and forth, we got that fat truck out of the stuck. We worked up a sweat, and about all at once looked at the deer and decided to have dinner. We started a fire and dressed it enough to cut out the back straps and roasted them on the fire. That was the first day I ever heard Rush Limbaugh, eating road kill.

Anybody ever ride at Tellico before the scum at USFS teamed up with TU and had Trout Unlimited threaten to file a lawsuit so the USFS could use it as an excuse to close the whole area?

you know Mike from Durhamtown Plantation has bought a big chunk of property up around Tellico and is doing trail rides in the area... just google durhamtown tellico.

How about the Suwanee Bogging hole.
Anyone remember that. Probably a subdivision there now.
This picture was from the boggin hole in 1983
Me, my best friend and his dad. We swam in the lake before the races started. Sitting on the back of a 69 chevelle, I was in 3rd grade I believe
