Official ODT Silver Thread

Time. You have to be patient.
You never sell below spot, unless you have to have cash. I have come across some of those deals before, but they are rare.
PMs preserve purchasing value, they are a store of assets.
I believe that 3 digit silver is only a couple of years away.
If you want to know know why people buy PM, watch this series.
I am dead serious. It will change your life. I have a degree in economics, and Mike does a superb job breaking down economic concepts.

Ok looks like yall are about to cost me some money. If I am buy to preserve value should I buy coins, bars, ?
Some people what ever has the lowest premium. That's generic bullion, rounds, bars, 90, 40, 35% silver. Sometimes deals can be found on sovereign coins.
Some prefer ASE, American Silver Eagle only. Some buy ASE, bullion, and other countries' sovereigns.

Today this is the best bang for a buck that I have found, but many people do not like 40% and 35% silver. Buy $8 in Face value to get free shipping

I like 35%, since $1 of Face Value of 90% coins has 0.715 troy oz of silver, $1FV of 35% silver has 1.125 of tOz of silver.

look around at different sellers and see what the premiums are.
i used to buy silver eagles when the premiums were alot lower like 3 bucks over spot.
i dont anymore and focus on 10oz bars or 5oz if the deal is good enough.
i bought enough 1oz rounds in the past i can use a combination of rounds or bars to get what i need if i am using silver as an exchange..
taking in silver eagles at what is being charged for them today would not be wise.
look at how many people say i can give you spot for it or spot plus 2 dollars.
buying coins for the collectablity of it is something you have to want to do
me personally i would not pay 125 dollars for a silver dollar thats worth 200 just because i value the silver and not the numismatic aspect of it.
right now i buy from monument metals and they usually have pretty good flash sales.
