Ebay gets 15% to help you sell it. That's $53.94/oz sold to collect $45/oz, then you have to ship it. I wonder how many folks would pay $53.94/oz plus tax and shipping when JM is selling for spot plus less than $1, no tax with free shipping over $200.

Plus you have to worry about the crafty scammers as a seller.
Buyer gets your silver, files a claim saying its fake or not as advertised, Ebay gives them their monies back and scammer then sends the seller their fakes, modern non silver coins a box of rocks or whatever.

Happens with ASEs every day. They get your eagle and your money, and you get a fake one and a scolding from ebay.
 
well aware of eBays charges, as well as the folk at eBay as well....sold lots of stuff there.....not fun!!!
BUT it's always on the table
BTW....buddy sold some silver at Silver Dollar(generic) this week at $2 under spot.....not quite 10-15%
