"There is very little money in bullion..." Yes. If you are in it for the short term, I agree. On the other hand, if you're a stacker who bought his stash 3-5 years ago and held on to it, you've doubled your money, and at the rate prices are going, won't be long before it's tripled.
You don't have a profit... or loss... until you sell.

Well, to begin with, it's based on an obviously incorrect definition of the word.
A man is in line at a church buffet dinner behind a well dressed woman.
She bypasses a dish, and the man says..
"You should try the pork and beans."
She responds "I can't, pork makes me astute"
Guy replies " It ain't the pork that makes your ass toot, it's the beans".

I'm talking buying and selling for profit, not holding for years. Day trading vs a 401K, two completely different scenarios.
