I've an old tackle box of lures that were given to me after my step dads death. Some are wood and one is an old Smoky. What's the best way to determine their value?
You can try googling something like "how to value antique fishing lures" and try to find the lures you have, or maybe do some searching on ebay (although that may not result in finding the true value). Probably your best bet is to find one of the antique lure sites and post some pics to find out from the experts.
My Father in law was into that a long time ago. It seemed that most lures lost a lot of value if you didn't have the original box it came in, and sometimes the box was worth much more than the lure itself. Good luck!
