Old Hickory 7" Butcher Knife

I picked up one from SMKW today and wondered if anyone had ever modified one for a bushcraft knife?

There are plenty of videos and images of people who have, but I wondered if any of you guys have and if you could post pics for me. I think I'm only going to make a slight modification to mine on the tip and then get a custom leather sheath made for it.

Here's an example of what I'm thinking. Maybe not such an angle on the tip though...

There's a leather shop in downtown Dalton that I use for this stuff. I'll show him the picture and he's pretty good at getting it close.

I just took the hump down a bit an rounded off the handle some ...

It's hard to tell in these pics ,but the back edge is fringed as well .

The knife fits quite snug in this sheath ,even tho the leather is still soft and not water molded...
