His party his rules. I’m not terribly fond of some of the heavy handed censorship , but , it’s the only game in town . As far as carrying a loaded gun in the venue , someone or some kid gets hurt , who are they gonna sue ? I’ve done two gun buys where I was handed a gun with a round in the chamber .

That’s where the issue lies for me, I think. It’s a private event for “us” and we are being treated like general public. Doesn’t matter, nobody will miss me and I’m ok with that.

We're being treated like the standard procedure for any event where people are finger banging guns. Guns and ammo are separated at the door.

Is it what I would do if I was in charge? No. Do I like it? No. Is it in any way an infringement or insult to my God given rights? No. Will I personally miss you if you don't show up? Yes I will

I don't think there should be ANY age limit on who can come to the ODT Gun Show. I probably go to as many, if not more gun shows than anyone else here on ODT (except maybe @Gadgetsrfun) and the best part about these shows is how families use them to introduce their children to the world of firearms. For many Dads, it's the best quality time they get to spend with their kids before the evil other side picks them up because of some stupid custody arrangement they have with the court, so why deny that to them. Many families can be seen handling and buying firearms for all members of the family. It should be a family event, in my opinion.

As a related note... at the North Florida Gun Show circuit, there is a dealer (true FFL dealer) who's best sales people are their 10 and 13 year old daughters. Those two girls know more about ALL of their 25 TABLES full of firearms than any other single person I have ever met knows about one single line of firearms. It's truly amazing.

Let's propagate that approach to firearms! It's just the "common sense" answer!
