Who uses old school broadheads? I've been using some Satellite Aero broadheads with my recurves. These particular heads are six-blade heads, but I shoot them in a two-blade configuration so that I have two extra sets of blades per head. The Blue Streak 5's were what I shot on an old crossbow of mine. They'll make a pretty darn big hole in a deer.

Old school broadheads, fixed, mechanical, as long as you hit your mark with them most any broadhead will get the job done. The most important thing is how well they shoot for you, and what are you comfortable with.

Thanks for the comment, but the whole point of this thread was to ask and see what kind of old school broadhead the other folks use if they have any.......it would also be unwise to use a mechanical broadhead with a recurve.

Not sure if considered old school but I've been shooting thunderhead 125's for years, easy to tune and puts em down.
