Older Rifles

I inherited a few older firearms from my late grandfather, and was wondering what the best method of going about and getting this things rated, checked for safety and barrel integrity, etc. would be? I did a little digging on my own and two of the double barrels shotguns are commonly referred to people to verify they can handle modern ammunition, and I honestly don't know where I would even begin to find this information.

I would speak to a good gunsmith to verify that each firearm is safe to operate. I would happily recommend Dave's gunsmithing in Cumming.
