Yes, it's cooking oil, not frying oil.Take this with a grain of salt, I've heard that taking olive oil above its smoke point could be harmful. It has a relatively low smoking point and can release "free radicals". Again there is conflicting evidence both ways. I just avoid this by using avocado oil which has a way higher smoke point. Also if you get any type of oil but especially olive and avocado , make sure that the country of origin is just one place and not several countries. Make sure olive oil is in a dark glass container. I know it's all hippy dippy but the hippies were onto something. Our food is poisoning us.
