On a golf course in Texas

Even though there's a few news links about this I'm still having a hard time believing it. Pitbulls on a hog that size will leave some serious marks and blood. That thing didn't just lay there and not fight. Also, if the hog was still alive when they took it for processing, it means it was alive in that pic. No way a guy is just holding a calm 400# hog up for a photo opp.
According to HuffPo, he used dogs (unspecificed breed) to "corral the hog" and then the man in the picture "wrestled it to the ground and hog-tied it."

I don't know....I don't see any way that one dude, no matter how plucky he is, can take a hog that big to the ground by himself. I think he left out the part where he tranq'ed the hog and put it to sleep before he rolled it over and hog-tied it. But I wasn't there and wouldn't know.

He apparently "kept the head for a trophy." So there's that.

Yeah this reminds me of the whole Hogzilla incident that was eventually found to be quite embellished. I just can't see how a hog of that size just got corralled without much of a fight. And I can't even imagine a man hogtying a hog even half that size. Those suckers fight when they're mad.

I'm thinking there is more to the story. Like you said, maybe a tranquilizer was involved.

Used to work in a slaughter plant. Did around 1000 hogs a week. With the current heat a hog that size would overheat and die in a matter of minutes while being ran by dogs.
