Once in a lifetime deals

Picked up a springer 1911 GI in SS
Perfect condition

250

My Buddy needed NOW cash for a ticket.

ya, having to have cash "now" sucks big time. i had to do that once, sold my rem700 VTR WITH a Leupold Mk4 on top for 800 bucks.........that hurt to do but it was either sell it that day, or get my truck repoed...

In 2002 bought a Universal M1 carbine and a bandolier of .30 cal military ball ammo for $300 out the door at Tucker Gun. Went to a gun show in Mcdonough in the building behind the flea market where an older gentleman offered to trade a 1905 Colt .38 automatic and a Tec-9 even up. Sold the Colt to a collector/dealer that was there for $500 and sold the Tec, with 2 50 round mags, for $400. My best deal to date!

At least with firearms you can do that. Not many things we own have real value once they are used.

I got a once in a lifetime deal and was just wondering about once in a lifetime deals people have gotten. Today I picked up an HK P30 40cal. And 2 Anderson lowers for $825. All 3 brand new.

That's almost as good as the guy at the flea market selling the glocks for $200 bucks, but they didn't have any serial numbers for some reason

Most of you guys have me beat. Best I can muster is trading a Milled Mak-90 and Maverick 88 12ga for a stamped Mak and a Century AK Bullpup. On the way home from that trade I stopped at a pawn shop and swapped the Mak90 for a USGI Inland M1 carbine and the bullpup for a Springfield EMP.
