I feel you. We had to put down our basset hound last week. He was only 3. He stopped walking one day and we got a cat scan and he had an inoperable tumor on his spine.

Life sucks.

11 days ago I had to bury one of my 16 yr old Shorkies. (****zu/Yorkie mix). That was hard enough. Tomorrow I’m having to drive her sister to the vet so they can help her cross the rainbow bridge and see her sister. I thought I could let nature run its course but I can no longer watch her wither away. I’ve read all I can find on the subject and I’ve prayed and cried while holding her. Sometimes life just really sucks.

Doggies don't live long enough Brother. Get a Parrot it'll outlive you.

But you are probably like me and short on years now and a puppy would be the way to go.

I know it hurts but get you another soon and you won't have time for the pain raising a new pup.

May be insensitive of me but that is what I believe.
