One of the last photographs of Trayvon Martin

Yep, its black and white alright...

So, according to the above transcriber, Zimmerman said "f***ing coons". What do the official transcripts say?

Null and void argument
Martin called Z a cracker while on the phone to mush mouth.

Perhaps both had I'll feelings towards other races

Personally in real life call me cracker and I am going to call you the N word.

strider, I am in no way trying to disagree with the stupidity of GZ but you said "disobeyed an ORDER" and that statement in itself implies that they had the authority to give him an "order" in the first place. Since the only thing the police have the authority to do is enforce laws then by proxy "disobey an order" would mean breaking a law which would be illegal. So, even though you never said it was illegal for him to get out of his car, it could be said that you did in fact imply that it was illegal.

Sad times we live in when a large portion of the population believes that law enforcement, or even a 911 operator can just arbitrarily (sp?) "order" you to stay shut in your car in your own neighborhood because there is a possible threat. Not too long ago I read an article about the principles of policing. One of them said something to the effect of a police officer simply holds a full time position performing the duties that are the responsibility of each citizen. Man have we lost our way...

Note that I am not saying that a bunch of wanna be cops should run around shooting people or threatening them. Just a realization that you do have responsibilities as a good citizen, and that sometimes sitting back like a good little sheep isn't the best idea.

GZ investigating a possible burglar would fall in line with that logic. Obviously the end result was worst case here, and we will never knew with certainty what really happened, but my issue is the sheep like mentality that everything has to go into lock down at the first sign of criminal activity until the police tell you that you can come out of hiding.

My point was that the link was NOT a black and white transcript of the call. It was some blogger's questionable version of a transcript of the call.

^^^This. If some suspicious person has the "right" to wander around in my neighborhood, I sure as hell have the right to wander right along behind them. If some see this as provocation then that is their problem. I'm just walking through MY neighborhood.

All the love for Paul Blart just sickens me. He was a loose cannon who saw a black kid in a hoodie in his neighborhood and jumped to conclusions.

Enjoy prison ****bag. Invest in soap on a rope.

He most certainly provoked the incident and should've just taken the ass beating. He is responsible for the guy's death but he is no murderer.

So you shoot somebody because you started a fight after disobeying a police order and got your ass kicked. Sounds like a punk move to me.

that order came from someone with no more authority than a taxi cab dispatcher or a milk-man

not saying anyone is right or wrong, just saying don't base it on a false presumption

And where did his authority to attempt to stop people lawfully walking in a neighborhood come from?

I don't know why you guys debate it so hard. Martin was racist. Mush mouth is racist. G z most likely a racist. The jury is the real key. The guilt or innocence will be determined by a bunch of people that most likely are biased already. Some of them likely already decided because the high Liar in charge commented about his own son, that doesn't exist. I woud be using that to retrial if z is convicted.
