The amount of money they spend to fly in space to find more space is if ignorant a hell! That's what we give part of the 50% of our wages for and that really pisses me off to no end!

Look up NASA spin-off technologies.
You'd be surprised what we wouldn't have without it.
We happen to be in Florida and saw the launch yesterday. Pretty impressive.
On my bucket list.
My niece is stationed at Canaveral so I could probably wrangle a pretty good spot for watching but I just can't make the trip.

In our defense, the thread title does say "light year".

Thanks, I need to fix that.
My mind automatically went to light year because that's what we're more familiar with I guess.
Because it comes up so often in everyday conversation....

Yeah, I’m a fan. If you ever get a chance and have never been Kennedy Space Center at the cape is awesome. It will give you an idea of everything we’ve gained from space exploration. And if can time it to see a launch you won’t regret it👍👍
