Thank God westerns weren't full of libtards in the saloons when Cartwright and the boys walked in totin the ol lever guns.
Could you imagine how quick they would drop some weenie with a left hook for complaining about them carrying rifles.......God we have become such a wussified society.
As I recall, the rifles were seldom carried into a store or saloon. On occasion, Hoss or Little Joe carried a bedroll including a Winchester into a hotel, but not slung across the back looking for attention.
No reason to when you are carrying a nice Colt 45 on your hip with a belt full of extra ammo!
How did we go from open carrying everywhere, to having to hide everything because somebody "might feel scared"?
the government has done a good job of regulating how you can carry so there are less open carriers, so many people rarely see a gun, making a it a "mysterious object" that kills people and things. if you hide something from the people long enough, when they see that item they will get excited or panic at seeing it.

By that rationale, there is no need to carry an AR (especially one you can't aim) when you can have a very nice Glock on your hip with extra mags in your pocket.

I'd rather have the 45 in a saloon in the old west.
It would be easier to shoot someone from under the table when he gets caught cheating at cards!![]()
