open carry at Walmart AR15....

Regardless of whether or not he has the right to do this, I personally don't like it when a person makes a scene, regardless of the reason. There were two people being idiots here. The guy's AR was missing rear sights and was slung over his back in such a manner that he could not fire it if need be. He would have had to remove the sling and reverse the position of the rifle in order to shoot it. If he had tried to swing the rifle forward it would be upside down.

The second person being an idiot was the Blue Shirt guy "WITH SLEEVES". He was obviously sent there by somebody or just wanted attention. Walmart should have sent somebody from security or loss prevention. They are better equipped to deal with an incident in case they were to arise. What unarmed person expecting trouble from a guy with a rifle would approach the armed person and start whining like a puss.

Either way, the guy did not break any laws, left when he was told to and also immediately left the property.

The main reason why I do not carry an AR in WALMART is because the barrel sweeps to the side and knocks items to the floor when I'm walking. That's not acceptable! Get an AK PISTOL for your WALMART trips, for goodness sake!

Does he have the right? Absolutely. Does Wal-Mart have the right to ask him to leave? Absolutely. When rights conflict the property owner usually will get their way, Its not like they can move the store so he can stand there with a rifle.

No need to get butt hurt about it. Choosing which rights to ignore is a dangerous and slippery slope

Bahahahahaha! Nice. Huntsville is one of only 3 places in Texas I wouldn't live. Place is a hole.

I dunno, lots of felons around there....carrying a rifle, even without sights might not be such a bad idea.

Anyone else think the reaction would be different if it was a Marlin lever gun on his back? I bet it would.

Huntsville is kinda liberal, too. Probably plays into it.
