I ran a bush hog several hours the other day. I open carried while doing it. Of course, there was no one out there. Years back, we had some (semi?) feral dogs in the area. A couple of them ran at me once back then, aggressively, while I was doing tractor work, and I drew my pistol. Between me being slow and some instinct in those dogs they turned and bolted as soon as they saw the pistol, as I brought it up. Have not seen those dogs in years. I assume someone shot them. Glad I didn't need to. Anyway, I will open carry for stuff sometimes but not out in public. To each his own.
