Opinion on using brass brushes they barrel?

Would nylon brushes and cleaning solvent ... Clean as good as bronze/brass brushes?

Hoppes copper solvent and any brush will do fine if you let the barrel soak for a few hours.

They don't for me. I don't use brass brushes each time I clean, but it makes a big difference when I do.

If a barrel can handle a copper plated lead projectile being rocketed by an explosion of powder a couple thousand fps... I think they can handle a little brass brush scrubbing.
